FAGAN NAGHIYEV, EMBA

Fagan Naghiyev is the Founder and CEO of Blacktower Street, where he leads the overall development of the firm across investment advisory, institutional consulting, business development and strategic partnerships, with a particular focus on emerging markets. He is a FinSA-registered Swiss Client Advisor, Reg. ID FN77559 (BX Swiss AG).

Mr. Naghiyev brings over 20 years of experience across investment banking, institutional asset and wealth management, and strategic advisory. His expertise spans institutional investment solutions, investment governance, business development and advisory for financial institutions, sovereign wealth funds and central banks.

During his career, he served as Executive Director and Head of Institutional Business for Central and Eastern Europe at Julius Baer, one of Switzerland’s leading private b

anking and wealth management groups, where he spearheaded the development of the institutional asset and wealth management business across the region. His previous leadership roles also include Head of Emerging Markets and Member of Senior Management at Crossinvest Zurich AG and Managing Director at IBA Moscow LLC.

He is the architect of the proprietary Blacktower Governance Flywheel™ methodology, a closed-loop investment governance framework developed for institutional investors operating in emerging markets.

He holds a Global Executive MBA from WU Vienna and the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, a Master’s degree in Finance and Credit, and a Bachelor of Laws.
